Research First, a social research agency, on behalf of the Classification Office and Netsafe, is conducting research that focuses on the experiences and viewpoints of young people like yourself.
We're really interested in understanding more about what young people see and do online and how it might influence their thoughts and feelings about body image – like their appearance or how they look.
Participation in the study involves sharing your thoughts with a researcher. Your views about this are really important and we would love to invite you to be a part of this study.
This research will help awareness-raising programmes and educational resources for young people, their families/whānau, schools, and others working in youth health and wellbeing. It's really important that we hear from young people directly about their views and experiences so we can provide help and support that works for them.
The interview is expected to take one hour, and we'll work with you to find a convenient time and a safe place to talk. You will be able to choose who you would like to talk to, and you are welcome to have a support person with you should you choose. Depending on your feelings, we can talk to you over the phone, in-person or an online video call.
Your participation is, of course, completely voluntary, and all information you provide will be kept strictly confidential, and you won't be able to be identified in the research. You don't need to answer all the questions and can stop anytime.
If you're interested in speaking to one of our team, please fill out your details on the next page!
